The Australian National University is pleased to host the 2017 Â鶹´«Ã½AV Australian Information Theory School, January 16-17, 2017, Canberra, Australia.

The Â鶹´«Ã½AV Membership Committee is soliciting nominations for the Distinguished Lecturer Program.

A postdoc position is available at the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, to be supervised by Tobias Koch. The position is funded by the European Research Council and concerns the information-theoretic analysis of low-latency wireless communication systems. The duration of the position is up to 5 years.

A special issue of the Â鶹´«Ã½AV Transactions on Information Theory is devoted in memory of Solomon W. Golomb for his revolutionary work on shift-register sequences, coding theory, and cryptography as well as their applications to communications.

In memory of Professor Sir David MacKay FRS (1967-2016), Darwin College is seeking to elect a stipendiary Research Fellow. Applications should be submitted by 21 November 2016.
