Urbashi Mitra was announced at ISIT2024 as the winner of the 2024 Aaron D. Wyner Distinguished Service Award.

The �鶹��ýAV Information Theory Society is pleased to announce that Peter Shor is the recipient of the 2025 Claude E. Shannon Award for consistent and profound contributions to the field of information theory. He will deliver his Shannon Lecture at ISIT 2025

ISITA2024 will be held on November 10–13, 2024 , at National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, Taipei, TAIWAN. We are happy to announce that the submission page for the recent results poster session at ISITA2024 is now open!

The three winning papers were announced before the Wednesday plenary session at ISIT 2024.

The award goes to two papers: P. Panteleev, G. Kalachev, “Asymptotically Good Quantum and Locally Testable Classical LDPC Codes” and I. Dinur, S. Evra, R. Livne, A. Lubotzky, S. Mozes “Locally Testable Codes with Constant Rate, Distance, and Locality"

The Joint Paper Award recognizes outstanding papers that lie at the intersection of communications and information theory.

�鶹��ýAV BITS calls for papers that explore the recent developments in security and privacy from an information theoretic perspective. White paper submission: 24th June 2024 (extended).

The James L. Massey Research & Teaching Award for Young Scholars recognizes outstanding achievement in research and teaching by young scholars in the Information Theory community. The recipient of the 2024 award is Flavio du Pin Calmon.

The Thomas M. Cover Dissertation Award award is granted annually to the author of an outstanding doctoral dissertation contributing to the mathematical foundations of any of the information sciences within the purview of the Information Theory Society

The goal of this workshop is to foster dialogue between researchers working on machine learning and information-theoretic aspects of data compression. We also welcome all recent works that have been published or have been undergoing review elsewhere.
