The April 2017 issue of the Â鶹´«Ã½AV Transactions on Information Theory is available online. In the future we will be posting links to the the articles in issues as they come out.

The Â鶹´«Ã½AV Information Theory Society is looking for volunteers to help define and create 3 short educational videos. Deadlines for proposals are May 15 and July 15, 2017.

Funding available to support students participating in ISIT 2017. Apply before April 16th!

Early registration deadline has been extended. Registration for the 2017 European School of Information Theory at an advanced rate can be done before April 7, 2017.

3 Postdoctoral Research Associate Positions in Telecommunications at the University of Sydney, Australia

Huawei Paris is looking for candidates for permanent junior and senior research positions in channel coding and lattice coding for wireless and optical communications.

ITSOC wishes to encourage Society members to consider the petitions for write-in candidates for the Â鶹´«Ã½AV Election.

A post-doctoral research position is now available in the Department of Informatics at King's College London. The post is funded by the European Research Council (ERC) for a project on fog-aided wireless networks. The successful candidate should have a PhD in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering with expertise in information theory and ideally also in machine learning.

The Â鶹´«Ã½AV TAB has established a new Committee on Diversity and Inclusion based on the recommendations of the Ad Hoc Committee on Women and Under-represented Groups.

A postdoctoral research position in the field of information theory is now available in the Department of Electrical Engineering - Systems at Tel Aviv University, Israel. Starting in October 2017 (or later) for up to two years. Funded by the European Research Council (ERC).

The Optical Algorithm Design team of the Mathematical and Algorithmic Sciences Lab, Huawei France Research Center, located in the Paris area, is seeking strong candidates for two permanent research positions in optical fiber communications. The research will focus on algorithms and coded modulation schemes to drive innovation in the context of high-speed coherent optical communications. The successful candidates will be involved in the development of competitive solutions for complex fiber optical transmission systems and of future key technology based on the non-linear Fourier transform.

A joint postdoc position at Arizona State University, the New Jersey Institute of Technology, and the US Army Research Laboratory in the area of secure and authentic communications, is available immediately.
