Photios A. Stavrou (M'16-SM'22) received the D.Eng. degree from the Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) Departmenet of the  Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2008, and the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Cyprus in 2016. From October 2016 to August 2022, he held a post-doctoral positions with Aalborg University, Denmark; the KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden; and EURECOM, Sophia-Antipolis, France, where, he has been an Assistant Professor with the Communication Systems Department, since September 2022. His research interests include information and communication theories, networked control systems, goal-oriented semantic communications, privacy in communications, optimization, and game theory
